Ghazal no. 76
1.
रुख़-ए निगार से है सोज़-ए जाविदानी-ए शमा
हुई है आतिश-ए गुल आब-ए ज़िंदगानी-ए शमा
2.
ज़बान-ए अहल-ए ज़बाँ में है मरग ख़ामोशी
ये बात बज़्म में रौशन हुई ज़बानी-ए शमा
3.
करे है सिरफ़ ब ईमा-ए शुला क़िससा तमाम
ब तर्ज़-ए अहल-ए फ़ना है फ़साना-ख़्वानी-ए शमा
4.
ग़म उस को हसरत-ए परवाना का है ऐ शुले
तिरे लरज़ने से ज़ाहिर है ना-तवानी-ए शमा
5.
तिरे ख़याल से रूह इहतिज़ाज़ करती है
ब जलवा-रेज़ी-ए बाद‐ओ‐ब पर-फ़िशानी-ए शमा
6.
नशात-ए दाग़-ए ग़म-ए इश्क़ की बहार न पूछ
शिगुफ़्तगी है शहीद-ए गुल-ए ख़िज़ानी-ए शमा
7.
जले है देख के बालीन-ए यार पर मुझ को
न क्यूँ हो दिल पे मिरे दाग़-ए बद-गुमानी-ए शमा

رخِ نگار سے ہے سوزِ جاودانیِ شمع
ہوئی ہے آتشِ گل آبِ زندگانیِ شمع
2.
زبانِ اہلِ زباں میں ہے مرگ خاموشی
یہ بات بزم میں روشن ہوئی زبانیِ شمع
3.
کرے ہے صرف بہ ایمائے شعلہ قصّہ تمام
بہ طرزِ اہلِ فنا ہے فسانہ خوانیِ شمع
4.
غم اس کو حسرتِ پروانہ کا ہے اے شعلے
ترے لرزنے سے ظاہر ہے نا توانیِ شمع
5.
ترے خیال سے روح اہتزاز کرتی ہے
بہ جلوہ ریزیِ باد و بہ پر فشانیِ شمع
6.
نشاطِ داغِ غمِ عشق کی بہار نہ پوچھ
شگفتگی ہے شہیدِ گلِ خزانیِ شمع
7.
جلے ہے دیکھ کے بالینِ یار پر مجھ کو
نہ کیوں ہو دل پہ مرے داغِ بد گمانیِ شمع

tire larazne se :zaahir hai naa-tavaanii-e sham((a

tire ;xayaal se ruu;h ihtizaaz kartii hai
bah jalvah-rezii-e baad-o-bah par-fishaanii-e sham((a
6.
nashaa:t-e daa;G-e ;Gam-e ((ishq kii bahaar nah puuchh
shiguftagii hai shahiid-e gul-e ;xizaanii-e sham((a
7.
jale hai dekh ke baaliin-e yaar par mujh ko
nah kyuu;N ho dil pah mire daa;G-e bad-gumaanii-e sham((a

Translation
1.
From the glory of the beloved's face is the external burning of the candle,
The fire of the flower has become the nectar of the candle.
2.
In the language of the analytic people, death is silence,
This matter, in the assembly, because radiant by the tongue of candle.
3.
It makes, only with from the gesture of flame, the story is finished,
With the manner of the lord of destruction is the story telling of the candle.
4.
It feels grief at the desire of the moth, oh flame,
From your trembling is obvious, the weakness of the candle.
5.
From the opinion of you, the soul protests,
With the display of the breeze, and by the wing-fluttering of the candle.
6.
The joy of the springtime of the scorching grief of love, do not ask about it,
Cheerfulness is a martyr to the fascinated candle at blooming flower.
7.
It feels envy having seen me at the beloved's head-rest,
Why would not be on my heart the blemish of misunderstanding of the candle.
