Ghazal no.69

1.
हरीफ़-ए मतलब-ए मुशकिल नहीं फ़ुसून-ए नियाज़
दुआ क़बूल हो या रब कि उमर-ए ख़िज़्र दराज़
2.
न हो ब हर्ज़ा बयाबाँ-नवर्द-ए वहम-ए वुजूद
हनूज़ तेरे तसव्वुर में है नशेब‐ओ‐फ़राज़
3.
विसाल जलवा तमाशा है पर दिमाग़ कहाँ
कि दीजे आइना-ए इंतिज़ार को पर्दाज़
4
हर एक ज़र्रा-ए आशिक़ है आफ़ताब-परस्त
गई न ख़ाक हुए पर हवा-ए जलवा-ए नाज़
5.
न पूछ वुसअत-ए मै-ख़ाना-ए जुनूँ ग़ालिब
जहाँ ये कासा-ए गर्दूँ है एक ख़ाक-अंदाज़

حریفِ مطلبِ مشکل نہیں فسونِ نیاز
دعا قبول ہو یا رب کہ عمرِ خضر دراز
2.
نہ ہو بہ ہرزہ بیاباں نوردِ وہمِ وجود
ہنوز تیرے تصوّر میں ہے نشیب و فراز
3.
وصال جلوہ تماشا ہے پر دماغ کہاں
کہ دیجے آئنۂ انتظار کو پرداز
4.
ہر ایک ذرّۂ عاشق ہے آفتاب پرست
گئی نہ خاک ہوئے پر ہوائے جلوۂ ناز
5.
نہ پوچھ وسعتِ مے خانۂ جنوں غالب
جہاں یہ کاسۂ گردوں ہے ایک خاک انداز

vi.saal jalvah tamaashaa hai par dimaa;G kahaa;N
kih diije aa))inah-e inti:zaar ko pardaaz
4.
har ek ;zarrah-e ((aashiq hai aaftaab-parast
ga))ii nah ;xaak hu))e par havaa-e jalvah-e naaz
5.
nah puuchh vus((at-e mai-;xaanah-e junuu;N ;Gaalib
jahaa;N yih kaasah-e garduu;N hai ek ;xaak-andaaz

Translation

1.

It is not equal to difficulty solver with concern, the message of offering prayer,
May the prayer be accepted, Oh Lord, the life span of "khizra" be long.
(A prophet who is immortal and who guides to lost wanderers.)
(This is a wit. No prayer is accepted, at least accept this.)
2.
Do not be in foolishness a traveler of desert in imagination of existence,
Still, in your thought is slope and elevation.
(Wrong and right.)
3.
Union is a display-show, but where is the mind,
Such that a perfection would be given to the mirror of waiting.
(Heart)
4.
Every single grain of the lover's dust is a sun-worshiper,
Even on his having become dust, the greed for the display of coquetry did not go.
5.
Do not ask about the expansion of frenzy of tavern, Ghalib,
Where is the bowl of the sky is a unique dust-bin.
