जादा-ए रह ख़ुर को वक़त-ए शाम है तार-ए शुआ
चरख़ वा करता है माह-ए नौ से आग़ोश-ए विदा

جادۂ رہ خور کو وقتِ شام ہے تارِ شعاع
چرخ وا کرتا ہے ماہِ نو سے آغوشِ وداع

Translation
The sign of the sun's path, at the evening time, is the thread of a ray,
The sky makes open, by means of the new moon, an embrace of farewell.
