Ghazal no.68

1.
फ़ारिग़ मुझे न जान कि मानिंद-ए सुबह‐ओ‐मिहर
है दाग़-ए इश्क़ ज़ीनत-ए जेब-ए कफ़न हनूज़
2.
है नाज़-ए मुफ़लिसाँ ज़र-ए अज़-दस्त-रफ़ता पर
हूँ गुल-फ़रोश-ए शोख़ी-ए दाग़-ए कुहन हनूज़
3.
मै-ख़ाना-ए जिगर में यहाँ ख़ाक भी नहीं
ख़मयाज़ा खेंचे है बुत-ए बे-दाद-फ़न हनूज़

فارغ مجھے نہ جان کہ مانندِ صبح و مہر
ہے داغِ عشق زینتِ جیبِ کفن ہنوز
2.
ہے نازِ مفلساں زرِ از دست رفتہ پر
ہوں گل فروشِ شوخیِ داغِ کہن ہنوز
3.
مے خانۂ جگر میں یہاں خاک بھی نہیں
خمیازہ کھینچے ہے بتِ بے داد فن ہنوز

faari;G mujhe nah jaan kih maanind-e .sub;h-o-mihr
hai daa;G-e ((ishq ziinat-e jeb-e kafan hanuuz
2.
hai naaz-e muflisaa;N zar-e az-dast-raftah par
huu;N gul-farosh-e sho;xii-e daa;G-e kuhan hanuuz
3.
mai-;xaanah-e jigar me;N yahaa;N ;xaak bhii nahii;N
;xamyaazah khe;Nche hai but-e be-daad-fan hanuuz

Translation

1.
Do not consider me without tension, as the dawn and sun,
The decoration of the shroud-collar is a blemish of love hitherto.
2.
The pride of the poor is based on gold slipped of the hand,
I am a flower seller of the mischievousness of old spots hitherto.
3.
In the tavern of the heart there is not even dust,
The tyranny-skilled idol heaves a thirst-yawn hitherto.
