Translation Of Ghazal No.62

Ghazal no.62

1.

Translation

1.
My heart is trembling at the trouble of the brilliance of the Sun,
I am the droplet of dew, that is on a thorn of desert.
2.
Even here also Prophet Yusuf (Joseph), did not refrain from cell decoration,
The whitewash of the eyesight of the Prophet Yakoob (Jacob), wandering in the prison cell.
(Prophet Yakoob was the father of Prophet Yusuf. After the arrest of Yusuf he became blind of crying. Mean his eyesight is also roaming with Yusuf.)
3.
I am the lesson of the delirium which teaches the way of oblivion, from that period,
When Majnu used to write Lam-Alif, on the wall of school.
(Two alphabets of Urdu, like this Lam( )Alif)
4.
To what extent I would have found respite from the worry for ointment,
If the fragments of the heart had compromised with one another over the salt-pot.
5.
In the region of passion there is no account of long and false story of coquetry,
That there would not be a seal from the ''back of the eyes'' on its little page.
(Tyranny, Unfaithfulness)
6.
Now, having seen the colour stained with ''red colour'', there comes to my memory,
That in separation from you, fire used to rain down on the garden.
(Sunset)
7.
Except flying with the ardor for passion, what will have lasted,
Doomsday is a mere severe fast wind on the "dust" of martyrs.
(Grave)
8.
Do not fight with the preacher, Ghalib, if he would use severity, so what,
Even my power and oppression operates the collar.
